This is a very sturdy and well built tire gauge, for the price. There are some better ones out there but they are built mostly for racing applications and are very much more expensive. For checking the pressures on your driver this is a really good unit and a great intersection of price vs. value (in my opinion).
I know there are complaints about quality control in other reviews as well as complaints about the case. I've had no issues with either. On the one I got everything works, there are no defects that I can find, and the case is working great.
The unit over-all is heavy and made of cast metal so it feels like it will last for quite a long time.
In the same order I also bought a Accutire MS-4350B Programmable Digital Tire Gauge. If you are trying to decide between the two, I'd say get this one. It's worth the extra money. The other model is made of plastic and is of much lower quality (though still usable).

All this gauge did for me is let air out of my tires. I tried finding a rubber adapter to help make a good connection, but it just didn't work. I went back to using my old-fashioned tire gauge and threw this one in the junk drawer.

I found this product to be very easy to use. I was able to easily fit the device on my car tire valves and got consistent accurate readings. Convenient size, easy to handle and store in glove compartment. The LED lit display has large easy-to-read numbers.

The first time I used this item I was very disappointed. When I tried it for the first time it was hit and miss. Sometimes it would work OK with a lot of effort and frustration. Lots of air escaped just like other reviewers pointed out. Then I had an idea. The problem could be the rubber gasket that came from the factory. I pried-out this gasket with a small flat head screwdriver and replaced it with a regular gasket from an inexpensive standard tire gauge that I had. Viola! Now it works every time with minimal effort. I'm very happy with this product. Hope this helps someone out there with the same problem. Cheers!
