Not for ALL mirrors! April 24, 2010 C. Croft (Redmond OR United States) I bought these mirrors for my 2005 Ford Expedition becuase the custom slip on ones weren't available. I was able to install the mirror on the driver's side without any problems. However, because of the way the mirror clips onto the vehicle mirror frame, the towing mirror will not work on the passenger side. It is important to note that my vehicle mirrors have the puddle lamp under the side view mirrors. If the puddle lamp was not there, the towing mirror would have working on the passenger side as well.
I decided to test the mirror out on the driver's side anyway. I didn't expect a strap on mirror to not vibrate at all, but I didn't think it would vibrate with my Expedition idling! The tow mirror also vibrated while driving down the road, which was expected. The view wasn't too bad with the vibration but I only drove for about 40 minutes. For the price, and if it works on both of your mirrors, I think it's a worthwhile buy.
Very helpful with a smaller truck! January 24, 2010 D. Calloway (South of Atlanta, GA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
One question: what did we ever do before electric mirrors to adjust the right-hand mirror? After many trips around the truck adjusting the right-hand mirror, these have worked out very well for me. I bought them for my Dodge Dakota Quad Cab, to pull my 25ft travel trailer. I am a first-time RVer, and was very nervous pulling out for my first trip, which would be 500 miles. These mirrors helped tremendously. They were very easy to attach to my mirrors, and I will probably leave them on to avoid the adjustment issues.
Clip on mirrors November 30, 2009 D. Hughes (VA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
ok product. you get what you pay for. mirrors move after driving, and have to constantly be re-adjusted. Drivers side mirror was easy to install, but was not so easy putting on the passenger side mirror, since the clips were located on the bottom and difficult to clip on. They should offer both left and right handed models, so the clips are always on top for easy installation.
Good Mirror for the price June 10, 2009 Motoman (Boston, MA USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Purchased this mirror 2 years ago and use it during all season towing. The weather has taken its toll on the straps, but the mirror fits well. Even at highway speeds, very little vibration. Expect the rubber straps to need to be replaced if used in hot and cold environments. Good value for the money.
Works great with some modification May 14, 2009 A. Witt 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
After modifying the edges with rubber fuel line to help with the fit, the mirrors worked great. There is very little vibration. They work great, especially for the price.
