5 out of 5 stars Tool Box   September 1, 2010

A nice light weight tool box that has a lot of storage. This tool box replace the one I purchased at Lowes that had trouble staying closed when it was picked up.

A well thought out design. Plastic shows no signs of "warpage" or "shrinkage" so common in the Big box boxes.
I Needed a toolbox to use as a field box for my rc planes, the PDY systems box far exceeded my expectations, I am able to put even most of my bench tools in. The drawers are sized intelligently and come with extra dividers. the upper section is large enough to hold my field charger, batteries, lunch, with room to spare.
I'm trying to come up with an excuse to my wife to buy another one....;p

5 out of 5 stars Review: PDY Toolbox Organizer   July 22, 2010
H. J. Spivack (North Woodmere, NY USA)
I went looking for an organizer for my woodshop a couple of weeks ago. I turn pens and I needed something to keep things organized. Between pen kits, bushing, drill bits, turning sleeves, etc, everything went everywhere and I (of course) couldn't find everything as I needed to.

I started looking at tackle boxes, but they were too small. Formal cabinets were more than I needed and I wanted to be able to swing my organizer out of the way once I found what I needed. I found the PDY on Amazon (where I find most things) and only got interested when I watched the video. I usually don't watch the videos, but this one told a good story and it sold me immediately.

The PDY system was just what the doctor ordered. Its big and its three drawers are roomey and deep and (best of all) they lock without items spilling across compartments. I'm not sure that I'd try to keep liquids separated in them (no, I'm not suggesting you try...) but they are very adequate even for very small nuts, screws and bolts. The upper compartment (that's a lid if you can't tell from the picture) is deep and well organized.

I'm very pleased with my purchase. I believe you will be too if you buy it.

5 out of 5 stars Just what I was looking for!   June 26, 2010

I was looking a long time for a storage box that could hold my electronic cigarette supplies. I wanted something with compartments for parts and a larger compartment to hold juice bottles. During my search I came across this tool box/organizer. I watched the video and was impressed by the style, the feminine color and the durability.
I decided to order it. Although I wanted the lime green, I settled for the pink. I am very pleased with this product! They give you extra plastic slides so you can adjust the compartment sizes to your liking. I would highly recommend this product.

I use my box as a sewing box. The box I have is grey and pink. The specs for all the sizes of each drawer, the top part, and even the individual compartments can be found at their website pdysystems.com/tool_tech-info.php. I used these specs to help determine if the box would fit in the space I had alloted for it, as well as the size I had available for holding boxes of thread, bobbins, etc inside of it. The specs can be a bit misleading, however. The inside of the cover and the upper unit have angled "fins" of the same molded plastic material, I am sure for extra reinforcement. These fins take up about an inch of space inside under the handle, as well as a half-inch to inch within the upper unit part. These annoyed me, as I needed that extra space to hold thread boxes. So, little modifier that I am, I snipped them out! (There goes the warranty...) The box is now perfect for me in every way, and the strength of the box has not been affected at all. If I were using the box as a tool box and lugging it around job sites, the extra reinforcement might be needed, but not for my purposes. All of my sewing supplies are now in one box: thread, needles, scissors, etc. and all remain segregated in their own little compartments. Love it!
